Classes

The schedule for ongoing Zoom tai chi classes is now open.  It is preferable that you have a space that allows you to be seen from head to toe.  Expect to learn a movement or two each class and following a class you will receive a practice video of the movements that were covered.  Each class is 1 hour in length.

Classes meet once a week for a fee of $10 per weekly class.  If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Betty:  TaiChi@comcast.net.

Click on the Zoom link to be taken to the registration page.  You will receive a follow-up email with your personal link to the class and payment instructions.  Please do not share this Zoom link.  If you do not get this email link, please contact Betty:  TaiChi@comcast.net.

The letter also includes a link to the class waiver form.  You only need to complete the Waiver once for each set you register for – it is for emergency use only.  There are links and/or QR codes for payment.  Contact Betty if you need a different option.

ALL TIMES ARE LISTED IN EASTERN TIME – PLEASE ADJUST TO YOUR PERSONAL TIME ZONE!

Yang 24 Forms

Yang 24 Forms is the most widely practiced tai chi set.  Learn the slow, relaxed flowing movements of Yang style in this classic tai chi form.  Suitable for any level.

Qigong

We will learn and practice a variety of qigong forms in these classes. Suitable for any level.

Yang 18 Fan

This fan form is suitable for beginners. If you already know this form, consider the Thursday class with the Yang 36 form.

Tai Chi for Arthritis Form Skill Builder

This class is FREE but you must register.

This class is open to anyone registered for a TCAFP workshop and anyone that knows the TCA form. We will review the movements of the TCA and TCA2 forms looking for points of improvement and ways to add depth to your form. The current Zoom link will be disabled at the end of September, so to continue attending, you must register.

Sun 73

The Sun 73 form is the Sun style competition form. It is the logical next form to learn once you know the TCA and TCA2 sets.

Chen 36

Chen style is the original tai chi style and you will likely find that learning Chen style movements will change all of your tai chi.  Although the movements are often more challenging, they can still be practiced in a higher stance and modified to be performed by almost anyone.  Learning to use your dan tian to direct your hands will be evident in all of your other tai chi sets and styles.
